My inspiration for this feature came from a treasure trove of old baseball cards I recently found in a box in my car's trunk. There were literally hundreds of these things stashed away in this box, and I quickly found myself enamored with the cards and the personalities depicted on them, wondering what had happened to them in the years since their publication date.
Most of the cards in this feature date from around 1989 or 1990, and their oft-wrong and overhyped predictions of the future for certain baseball players are sure to get laughs from just about everyone. If you don't laugh, though, you'll certainly find it enjoyable at the very least.
